Kojic Acid Dipalmitate – 100g
Kojic Acid Dipalmitate (KAD) is a diesterified derivative of Kojic Acid. It is considered to be superior to Kojic Acid in its whitening ability and is more stable than Kojic Acid in cosmetic formulations.
Kojic Dipalmitate is one of the most effective ingredients in treating hyperpigmentation, dark spots, and freckles. It is potent enough to cure melasma which is the condition of the face developing dark patches during pregnancy. In its raw form, Kojic Dipalmitate appears as a white crystalline powder and is the derivative of kojic acid – making it far more superior, effective, and stable. It is also known as the “skin whitening” ingredient because of its ability to even out the skin tone and produce a natural glow. Thus it is commonly added to anti-aging and skin-brightening formulations. The chemical formula of Kojic Dipalmitate is C37H64O6.
By inhibiting tyrosinase activity, Kojic Acid Dipalmitate is capable of suppressing skin pigmentation. Its ability to suppress melanin formation makes it effective in whitening dark skin, or areas of dark skin. Its effects have been boosted when used in combination with glucosamine derivatives like N-Acetyl Glucosamine (NAG).
Kojic Acid Dipalmitate has good stability in heat and light, with no color change.
